Tunisian Shakshuka

Enjoyed as a brunch and all-day meal across North Africa and the Middle East, shakshuka (shak-shoo-kah) is a one-pan meal that means 'all mixed up' in Arabic.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Fry capsicum 2 minutes with 2 tbsp oil or ghee in medium frypan.
2) Stir in the recipe base and fry 2-3 minutes.
3) Add 1 can of white beans including its water and bring to boil.
4) Lower the heat then crack 4 eggs into four corners of the pan.
5) Simmer until egg whites are cooked and yolks are to your desired runniness.
Serve with Turkish bread and a garden salad.

Absolurtely! You can increase the volume of each sauce. Here is our tip for each sauce:

- Persian Herb Stew: Add 3 cubes of spinach. Add 2 limoo omani if you have at hand.

- Turkish Meat-ball sauce: Add 2tbsp of tomato paste & 1 Tsp cumin.

- Moroccan Tagine: Add one can of coconut milk.

- Persian Walnut Chicken: Add 2Tbsp pomegranate molases.

- Tunisian Shakshuka: Add 1 Tbsp tomato paste and 1 tsp Paprika.

Yes, store the leftover sauce in an airtight container and use within 1 week.
